About The Artist

Abigail Alice

Abigail Alice’s love for architecture and storytelling has deep roots, stemming from her early years. As a child, she would spend hours sketching over building plans obtained from her father’s office, laying the foundation for her profound connection with the art of architecture.
She holds a Bachelor’s, Honour’s, and Master’s degree in Architecture, obtained cum laude from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Additionally, she has a Master’s in Applied Science, which she earned jointly from the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven in the Netherlands and the University of Pretoria.
After gaining valuable experience as an architect in Germany, she returned to her roots and now thrives as a Professional Architect in the city of Pretoria, South Africa.
Her talent has gained recognition on a global scale as her architectural artworks have been included in the New York-based magazine, Architizer, where she was celebrated as one of the international finalists for best freehand architectural sketching. Sharing her passion with the world, Abigail started showcasing her creations online in 2018. Since then, her work has captivated a vast following of over 10,000 international users.
Driven by her love for her country and its rich architectural heritage, Abigail’s goal is to capture the essence of South African architecture—its memories, its sentiment, and its unique beauty. Through her artistic endeavours, she seeks to preserve and share the cultural legacy that shapes the architectural landscape of South Africa.
