About The Artist

Welmarie Janse van Vuuren

Welmarie Janse van Vuuren was born to a creative family in Pretoria in 1980. She matriculated from Hoërskool Menlopark in 1998 and moved down to Stellenbosch to study Consumer Science at Stellenbosch University in 1999. A storyteller at heart, she only started to express her passion for inspired fine art in 2010. Since then, she has experimented with oil painting, pencil sketches and watercolour painting.
