Didi did a range of 7 paintings of girls at the age of 12.

"Breekbaar/ Fragile" is one of them.

Beautiful and vulnerable.  So many things change all at once at that age. As a parent we try our best to keep them safe, but we don't really have control. We need to let go and send them off into the world of the unknown hoping that they will cling to what we taught them.
